Eighty years on from VE Day, we honour the courage and sacrifice of those who ended the war in Europe and reshaped our world. With the VE80 Immersive AR experience, you can step into history and uncover rare VE Day photographs, hear personal reflections of the war survivors in their own voices, and experience that moment of hope and relief through interactive storytelling.
We’ve worked hard on restoring sonic artefacts from the archives, and it’s been amazing hearing interviews, historical public speeches and music recordings with a new level of detail and fidelity. Based on the interviews, we’ve created short immersive stories that unfold in front of the user in binaural audio.
